This group of photographs are tin type and appear to be taken
in the same room or studio, possibly
in Franklin or Owen County, Kentucky and are thought to be members of the
Arnold family.
Simeon Arnold was born in Kentucky and married Elizabeth Burchfield in Franklin
County, Kentucky
on September 14, 1831 and died in Franklin County in 1862. Their son,
John T. Arnold was born
in 1836. He married Nancy Stevens in Owen County, Kentucky on October
28, 1857 and moved
to Texas about 1870.
