Jerry K. Withers
Jerry K. Withers, age 68, of Hamilton, passed away in Ft. Hamilton Hospital,
Tuesday, July 23, 2002, at 4:41 a.m. He was born in Estill County, Kentucky, on
June 1, 1934, the son of Hargett and Hattie
(Proctor) Withers. Jerry was employed as a carpet installer for numerous years.
He is survived by one daughter, Robin Little of Hamilton; four brothers, James
B. Withers and his wife Shirley of Georgia, Leon Withers, Dennis Withers and
Gary Withers and his wife Shirley, all of Hamilton; five sisters, Christine
Anderson and her husband Arthur, Faye Brock and her husband Elza, Barbara Gray
and her husband Dennis, Jeanette Sapp and her husband Sammy, all of Hamilton,
and Linda Kingery and her husband Larry of Florida; and one granddaughter,
Amanda King. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Thad and
Howard Withers.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing
Avenue, on Friday, July 26, 2002, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jacob Flannery, Pastor
of Franklin Street Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood
Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the
funeral home.
