Nannie E. Rice

Nannie E. Rice, age 95, of Hamilton, Ohio, formerly of Irvine, Kentucky, died Friday, November 28, 2003, in Hamilton, after a short illness. She was a native of Estill County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late James B. and Emma (Warford) Rice. Miss Rice was a member of Station Camp Christian Church and retired as a teacher for the Estill School System after 40 years of service.

She is survived by four nieces, Viola French of Hamilton, Anna Jean Wiseman of Ashland, Kentucky, Bernice Smith of Lexington, Kentucky and Wilma Wood of Middletown, Ohio; two nephews, Kenneth Rice and Ralph Rice, both of Irvine, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her four sisters, Annie Garrett, Hallie Rice, Jeanette Durbin and Ida Scrivner; and three brothers, O.J. Rice, Frank Rice and Scott Rice.

Funeral service will be held at the Lewis Funeral Home, 224 Main Street, Irvine Kentucky, on Monday, December 1, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Tom Burbrink and Brother Scott Beauchamp officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Irvine, Kentucky. Visitation will be held Sunday from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Lewis Funeral Home. Brown Dawson Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.
