Hazel Marie Tuttle Reed, 87, of Statesville, N.C., whose brother Glendon Tuttle lives in Richmond, died Saturday, July 10, 2004, at the Maple Leaf Nursing Home in Statesville. Born Jan. 3, 1917, in Estill County, Ky., to Newton and Dora Cook Tuttle, she retired from Phillip Drug Store. Additional survivors include her sons, Clyde, Jim and Duane Reed; sister, Maggie Shiflett; and other brothers, Paul and Charles Brown Tuttle. Her husband, Elbert, is deceased. Service was Tuesday at Warren F. Toler Funeral Home, Irvine, Ky.

Hazel Marie Tuttle Reed

Hazel Marie Tuttle Reed 87 formerly of Centerville, Indiana passed away Saturday, July 10, 2004 at the Maple Leaf Health Care Center in Statesville, NC. She was born Jan. 3, 1917 in Estill County and was the daughter of the late John Newton and Dora Cook Tuttle. She had been the employee of the International Harvester and was retired from Phillips Drugs.
 

Survivors include three sons, Clyde Reed of Co., James Roy Reed of Statesville, NC, and Elbert Duane Reed of Richmond, IN,
one sister, Maggie Shiflet of Dayton, brothers, John Paul Tuttle of Estill County, Charles Brown of Union City, OH, Marcus Glendon Tuttle of Richmond, Indiana; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
