Roy Miller

MILLER, Roy Age 93, of Hamilton passed away in Mercy Franciscan at Schroder on Sunday, October 10, 2004 at 2:25 a.m. He was born in Irvine, Kentucky on March 6, 1911, the son of Elisha and Lena (Hargraves) Miller. Roy was a member of the Tuley Road Church of the Nazarene and was employed as a press operator for Fisher Body for 22 years retiring in 1971. On July 31, 1930 in Richmond, Kentucky, he was married to Laura E. Kelley.
 

He is survived by his wife, Laura E. Miller of Hamilton; one son, Douglas (Beverly) Miller of Cameron, Illinois; three daughters, Evelyn Apwisch of Irving, Texas, Betty (Shelby) Martin of Hamilton and Joyce (Edward) Curran of Grand Island, Florida; one brother, Farris Miller of Richmond, Kentucky and one sister, Betty Kelley of Hamilton; five grandchildren, Derek Miller, Jack (Suzanne) Apwisch, Cindy (Michael) Maloney, Stephen (Patricia) Martin and Jennifer (George) Phillips. Also nine great grandchildren; Jeffrey, Michael, Kristina, Drew, Connor, George, Ross, Kelly and Matt. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Sam Miller, and two sisters; Allie Rice and Mamie Richardson and a son-in-law, Jack E. Apwisch.
 

Funeral services will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., Tuesday, October 12, 2004 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Randy Sapp, Pastor of the Tuley Road Church of the Nazarene officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9;30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Private entombment will be held in the Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum.
