The Estill County Mailing List was started in May 1996. There were only about 10 of us at that time. We figured there *had* to be a better way to get information back and forth to each other and so we found it. The 10 has grown to over 300 and is still growing.
Every summer, the Estill County Historical & Genealogical Society sponsors a "Homecoming" for us and it's always a great time! There are great eats, wonderful fellowship and lots of new information found.
Many times, you'll hear our mailing list referred to as "The Back Porch Gang" as I've always felt that, rather than a rigid mailing list, we're more like friends sitting on the back porch having a chat.
