Have you ever wished
you could go to a particular courthouse or library, but just can't do it
right now? My guess is there are others wishing the same thing about
courthouses and libraries in your area.
So we are
providing a place where everyone can get together and swap those trips.
Exactly what this new service will do is put you in contact with others
who'll go to their local places of resources for
you if you agree to do the same for
them. You will post the county/state/city where you can easily go for others,
and the county/state where you are interested in obtaining information
from. Others will do the same. Check below to see who is
listed in the areas you need research done in.
Get the idea? We
feel this will be of particular benefit when you don't have the volume and
page numbers of that document you need. And let's be honest... not all
courthouse and library personnel are helpful with doing those look ups
they "say" they'll do.
Which brings me to
another point... honesty is an absolute must!!! If you say you'll do it...
DO IT!!! We have all been taught the value of "honesty and
truth" by our ancestors... don't dishonor them! Post

Don't request look-up for "all the Browns in Kentucky",
for example.
Limit the
number of
names per request to one or two --
Narrow it down;
Most volunteers will, rightfully, delete any request for a
"broad" look-up. Remember to include all information
& dates you may have OR believe you have, including NAME OF
county(s)

always remember to say "thank you".
