Aaron was the son of Parker Lucas and Elizabeth Sexton, and brother of Emanuel Todd Lucas.

He was married to Eliza Vanover on July 14, 1849 in Letcher Co. by Rev. Joseph Craft.

Eliza was the daughter of William and Jane Lucas Vanover. She was born in Dec. 1830
in Virginia and died about 1900-1904 in Letcher Co.
Eliza was a midwife.

On Mar. 17, 1857 Aaron bought 50 acres situated on the Owens Branch of Camp Branch, Letcher Co.
