	I, James Henderson, do hereby make this my last will and testament in manner and form 
	following.  That is to say, First, I desire all the perishable property or a sufficient 
	part thereof to pay my just debts and funeral expenses to immediately sold after my decease 
	and applied to that purpose; secondly, after the payments of my debt and funeral expenses, 
	I give to my daughter Nancy Bond one dollar; thirdly, I give my daughter Jane Gilbert one 
	dollar; fourthly, I give my daughter Esther Ray one dollar; fifthly, I give my son Robert 
	J. Henderson one dollar; sixthly, I give my son James Henderson one dollar; seventhly, I 
	give my son Alexander M. Henderson one dollar; eighthly, I give my daughter Matilda Taber 
	one dollar; ninthly, I give my daughter Melinda Noland one dollar; tenthly, I give Lydia 
	Mockahew to have and to hold during her lifetime and after her decease to her two children, 
	Martha Ann and William David, to be equally divided between them, the land deeded to them 
	by me, but deed not recorded, lying on the upper end of my place, six or seven acres of it 
	being improved, the whole being seventy five acres or less.  Eleventhly, I give all the 
	residue of my land and personal property of all description to my wife Jane Henderson 
	during her natural lifetime, should she survive me, and after her decease the same shall 
	go to my daughter Mary Holland, her heirs and assigns forever, and lastly, I do hereby 
	appoint and constitute my son-in-law, Oliver P. Holland, executor of this my last will and 
	testament, hereby revoking others or former wills or testaments by me heretofore made.
	
	In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 20th day of 
	February (1861) one thousand eight hundred and sixty one.

	Signed, sealed, published and declared as and for the last will and testament of the above 
	named James Henderson in presence of us all.

State of Kentucky
Carter County
	I, J. W. Thornton, Clerk of the Carter County Court, certify that the foregoing instrument 
	of writing purporting to be the last will and testament of James Henderson, deceased, was 
	on the ninth day of July 1866 produced in said court by O. P. Holland, the executor 
	thereof, and duly proved by the oath of Harvey Henderson, one of the subscribing witnesses 
	thereso to be the last will and testament of said James Henderson, and said Harvey 
	Henderson also proved the signatures and attestation of W. C. Crier, the other subscribing 
	witness and that said Crier was then absent from the state of Kentucky.  Whereupon said 
	instrument was admitted to probate as the true last will and testament of said James 
	Henderson, deceased, as appears from endorsements on said will and the orders of said 
	court in obedience to which I have recorded in my office.
				Given under my hand this 4th day of July 1887
