Will Book 1 Page 1 In the name of God Amen know all men by these presents that I, Douglas Biggs, being of a weakly situation and a low state of health but of sound mind and disposing memory before Almighty God do make my last will and testament. First of all I desire that out of my estate whether real, personal or mixed my funeral expenses be paid. Secondly, that all my just debts of whatever magnitude be paid. Thirdly, I do give and bequeath unto my oldest son Herman Biggs one dollar to his own proper use and benefit to him and his heirs forever. Fourthly, I do give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Nancy Biggs all of the residue of my estate of every kind whatsoever to her own proper use and benefit during her natural life and after her death I desire that her funeral expenses be paid and then if there be any remains of residue to my estate left after the death of my beloved wife, Nancy Biggs, and her funeral expenses being paid, I do give and bequeath all such remains or residue to my estate to Leanna James to her own proper use and benefit to her and her heirs forever. In testimony whereof I have herewith set my hand and affixed my seal this 20th day of June in the year of Lord, One Thousand Eight Hundred and Thirty Five. Assigned and sealed in the presence of Edward Roe, Nicholas Savage and Nathaniel Dawson
