Emily E. Gilbert - 1933-2007

Emily E. Gilbert, 73, of Pactolus, Ky., passed away Sunday, April 8, in Southern Ohio Medical Center.

She was born May 29, 1933, in Carter County, Ky., a daughter of the late Roy Adrian and Katharine Hannah Womack.

Mrs. Gilbert was preceded in death by her dear husband, Carroll Smith Gilbert, when he left this life in 1988; 
and her granddaughter, Jocelyn McDavid, in 2002.

She was retired from Baker’s Department Store in Grayson, Ky., and a member of Crane Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindy K. Gilbert of Mount Sterling, Ky.; her twin sister, Nancy (Ray) Hall of Grayson; 
her grandson, Adrian Marshall; three nieces, Carol Ann (Bobby) Fraley, Sherry Rae McDavid and Kelly Hall; 
two great-nieces, Thea Katharine McDavid and Caitlin Rae Fraley; her great-nephew, Chad Richmond Fraley; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Gilbert will be at 11 a.m. today, April 11, at Crane Creek Missionary Baptist Church. 
Brother Harry Sanders, Brother Glenn Stephenson and Brother Gorden Burgess will officiate. She will be laid to rest in Hannah Cemetery.

Friends may call an hour before services today at the church.

Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson is in charge of arrangements.
