Mr. Withrow was born December 18th, 1900 in Carter County, a son of the late James and Edith Johnson Withrow of Grayson. He was married to the late Virgie Carter Withrow. He was a construction laborer, a farmer and was a member of the Goebel Memorial United Methodist Church Surviving are four sons, Donald (Mary Opal) Withrow, Hugh (Helen) Withrow, Jr., Ray (Cordie Phyllis) Withrow, and Doug (Donna) Withrow all of Grayson, KY., four daughters; Shirley (Larry Joe) Jackson, Rose Mary Kartune, Wanda Withrow and Karen Withrow all of Grayson, eighteen grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two daughters-in-law; Shelby Withrow of Grayson and Julia Withrow of Wurtland. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two daughters; Edith Marie Withrow and Annabelle Withrow and two sons, Lafayete Withrow and Curt Withrow. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Nov. 3rd at 1:00 pm at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson. John Dean, Glen Newland and Paul Miller will officiate. Burial will be in the Carter Family Cemetery. Friends may call from 6:00 pm till 9:00 pm at Sparks Funeral Home.
