Kentucky GenWeb projectLonnie W. Wilburn - 1955-2006 Lonnie W. Wilburn, 51, of Summit, Ky., died Monday evening, Aug. 21, 2006, in St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, W.Va. Mr. Wilburn was born May 4, 1955, in Carter County, Ky., a son of the late Woodrow and Juanita Stephens Wilburn. He was owner and operator of Lonnie Wilburn Concrete Construction. He also worked as a supervisor for Rick Eplion Paving Inc. Mr. Wilburn was of the Baptist faith and a U.S. Air Force veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Clifford Roy Wilburn, and a sister, Erma Slack. Mr. Wilburn is survived by his wife of 32 years, Loretta Sparks Wilburn of Summit; two sons, Billy Wilburn and Michael Keith Jordan, both of Summit; two daughters, Stephanie Vitiello and her husband, Anthony, of Summit and Tina Kirkland and her husband, Bob, of Old Fort, N.C.; two sisters, Margaret Walker of Ashland, Ky., and Dorothy LeMaster of Ashville, Ohio; and two grandchildren, Dylan Vitiello and Elizabeth Kirkland. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, 2006, at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland. Burial will be in Cribbs Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Military services will be conducted by the American Legion Kenova Post 93.
