Kentucky GenWeb projectHAZEL HARRISON Published: 5/25/2004 HAZEL HARRISON, 79, of Grayson, passed away Monday, May 24, at the Community Hospice Center in Ashland, Ky. Mrs. Harrison was born August 12, 1925, in Carter County, the daughter of the late Jonah Whitt and Sible Shears Whitt. She was the wife of the late Cecil Rice and the late Wilmer Harrison. She was a homemaker, mother and of the Baptist faith. She is survived by three sons, Everett, James and Ercel Rice, all of Grayson; two sisters, Lorene Ward and Mary Griffith, also of Grayson; seven grandchildren, Charlene, Melinda and Jimmy Rice, Becky, Tina and Phillip Stacey and Dorothy Harlow; 11 great-grandchildren, Josh and Michelle Cains, Ashley Tolliver, Sarah, Rachael and Kayla Harlow, Bobby Hickock, Randall and Kelsey Lucas, Derek Stafford and Dalton Stacey; and one great-great-grandson, Joseph Cains. She was preceded in death by one brother, Earl Whitt, and one sister, Millie Mayo. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, at the Sparks Funeral Home with Bruce Hiner officiating. Burial will follow at the Cribbs Hill Cemetery. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 25. Sparks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
