Kentucky GenWeb projectAshland Daily Independent 2 April 1972 Mrs. Emma A. Dickison Mrs. Emma A Dickison, 92, Oldtown, died at 11 a.m. Thursday at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Dickison was born Aug 24, 1889, in Elliot County, a daughter of the late John P. and Mart Elizabeth Riggs Tackett. She was a member of the United Baptist Church. Her husband, Levi Dickison, died in 1978. Surviving are five sons, Otis G Dickison of Bloomfield Mich., Lawrence Dickison of Oldtown, Thomas and Ralph Dickison, both of South Shore, and Charles Dickison of Lakeworth Fla.; a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Berry of Oldtown; 21 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. Funeral Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the J. B. Wright Funeral Home in Greenup by Elders Hezekiah Osburn and Burl Stevens. Burial will be in Oldtown Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home, where friends may call after 7 p.m. today.
