THREE BANDITS WHO SLEW WOMAN BEING PURSUED

[By United Press]
Grayson, Ky.—Relentlessly pursued by posses, three bandits who killed Mrs. Jenny Stidhan (probably Stidham), 71, at her farm home near here,
robbed her husband of $400 and bound him to a tree, were leading officers an exciting chase in the surrounding hills today.
The bandits attacked Stidhan near his home Sunday. They struck him down, bound him to a tree, then proceeded to the farm house.
Stidhan heard his wife scream. Working frantically for an hour he broke his bonds and rushed to the house. Mrs. Stidhan was dead.
The house had been ransacked. Stidhan summoned neighbors and a posse was quickly organized and went in pursuit of the men.
Surrounding villages and towns were notified and other posses took up the chase. The bandits fled to the hills.
