Clarence Steagall - 1925-2007

Mr. Clarence Steagall, 82, of Olive Hill, Ky., passed away Tuesday morning, Nov. 27, 2007, in Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.

Mr. Steagall was born June 13, 1925, in Rowan County, Ky., and was a son of the late Hobert and Dice Stegall Steagall.

Clarence served his country as a combat veteran with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a retired employee of General Refractories in Olive Hill 
and a member of Ohio Labor Union Local 1216, Olive Hill American Legion Post 138 and Grayson VFW Post 3705.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Billy Steagall, Claude Steagall, Glen Steagall and Jim Steagall; 
two sisters, Loretta Erdent and Dixie Lukhart; and two great-grandchildren, Bryce Matthew Steagall and Taryn Hope Steagall.

He is survived by his wife, Druzella Parker Steagall; eight sons and five daughters-in-law, Carl and Rhonda Steagall, John and Clarice Steagall, 
Paul and Janie Steagall, Randy and Kathy Steagall, Doug Steagall, Ben Steagall and Jeff and Kelly Steagall, all of Olive Hill, 
and Larry Steagall of Grayson, Ky.; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Brenda DeHart, Kathy and Roger Dunaway, Pam and David Stafford 
and Penny and James Perry, all of Olive Hill; 31 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, 
Nelson and Nadine Steagall of Mansfield, Ohio, and Vernon and Jean Steagall of Lancaster, Ky.; two sisters-in-law, Jewell Steagall of Mansfield 
and Jackie Steagall of Lexington, Ky.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill by Brother Mark Lilly. 
Burial will be in Tick Ridge Cemetery in Olive Hill.

Friends may call after noon today and until services Friday at the funeral home.

His sons, Carl Steagall, John Steagall, Paul Steagall, Larry Steagall, Randy Steagall, Doug Steagall, Ben Steagall and Jeff Steagall 
will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Cleo Hicks and Chester “Fox” Dehart.
