GEORGE STAMPER, 97, SUCCUMBS AT BRINEGAR, KY.

OLIVE HILL, Ky., Feb 15--George Stamper, 97, prominent retired pioneer resident of Carter County, died early this morning at the 
home of a son, William Stamper, Brinegar, Ky., near Olive Hill. Infirmities of his advanced years resulted in his death after an illness of several months.

Funearl services will be held at noon Friday, at the residence of his son, William, with burial in the Manning Cemetery under the direction 
of Leslie Henderson Funeral Home.

Surviving in addition to William, are two other sons, Jake of Olive Hill and Henry Stamper of Brinegar, and one daughter, Mrs. Mary Roberts, 
prominent Olive Hill business woman.

Mr. Stamper was a native of Elliott County, son of Wash and Leah Short Stamper, and was born January 15, 1854.
