E. Wilson Stamper 

1916-2004 

Evert Wilson Stamper, 88, of Grayson Ky., passed away Wednesday, March 17, in King's Daughters Medical Center. 

He was born Feb. 15, 1916, in Wesleyville (Carter County), Ky., a son of the late Dewitt and Ada Kiser Stamper. 

Mr. Stamper was a WWII Army veteran, North African Campaign, and was a life-time member of the VFW, Grayson Post and American Legion of Olive Hill, Ky. 
He was also a retired employee of Mansfield Tire and Rubber Co. with 30 years of service and was a member of Oakland Christian Holiness Church. 

Surviving are his wife, Mary J. Meadows Stamper of Grayson; one son, E. Wilson Stamper Jr. of Columbia, S.C.; 
one stepson, Donald Beard of Mansfield, Ohio; one brother, Harlan Stamper of Dayton, Ohio; one sister, Irene Howard of Lexington, Ky.; 
and four grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 20, at 11 a.m. at the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson with Raymond Steagall officiating. 
Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery near Olive Hill. 

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 19, and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. 

Military rites will be by East Carter Jr. ROTC.
