Earl Leo Stamper

Earl Leo Stamper, 71, of Mansfield, died early Tuesday morning, January 13, 2004, at his home after an extended illness. 
He was born November 9, 1932, in Olive Hill, Kentucky to Lonnie and Rosa A. (Reynolds) Stamper. 

Earl worked for 27 ½ years at Mansfield Tire and Rubber and retired from F.E. Myers in Ashland. 
He was a member of First Church of Christ in Christian Union and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. 
He liked being outdoors, hunting and gardening. Earl served during the Korean Conflict with the U.S. Army 
and was stationed in Kunsan, Korea and Okinawa, Japan. 

He is survived by his wife, Cleda Rae (Hedge) Stamper, whom he married May 28, 1955; two sons and daughters-in-law, 
Terry and Karlyn Stamper of Archbold, Ohio and Danny and Donna Stamper of Olive Hill, Kentucky; a daughter, 
Deborah Hoffman of Mansfield; four grandchildren, Aaron Stamper, Laura Hoffman, Lindsey Hoffman and Lincoln Stamper; 
three brothers and sisters-in-law, Quentis and Janet Stamper of Lucas, Homer and Patricia Stamper and Larry and Carla Stamper, all of Olive Hill; 
a sister, Helen (Susie) Owens and Elmo Owens of Mansfield; a sister-in-law, Dixie Stamper of Columbia, Tennessee; numerous nieces and nephews; 
and two aunts and an uncle, Irene and Bill Laipply and Ruth Bowling. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Rev. Coy Allen Stamper.

Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Thursday, January 15 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. 
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, Friday at 10:30 a.m., conducted by Pastor Perry Brafford and Pastor Terry Lee Dean. 
Military graveside services will be held in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Med Central Hospice 
or First Church of Christ in Christian Union.
