Dr.Luther Spengler 
Former Native Dies

Dr. Luther Campbell Spengler, Jr., a Roanoke, Virginia physician, died there Saturday March 29th., in a Roanoke Hospital. 
He was the son of the late Mr. Luther Campbell Spengler, Sr., and Mrs. Mary Theobald Spengler.

Dr. Spengler, whose medical specialty was urology, was a graduate of Washington & Lee University, and earned his medical 
degree at the Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland. He served as a commander in the U.S. Navy. He is a native of Grayson.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Croft Spengler; a son, Thomas Theobald Spengler, Atlanta; and a daughter, Miss Ann Johnson Spengler, Miami.

Dr. Spengler was a nephew of the late Mr. John M. Theobald and a cousin of Mr. T. D. Theobald, Jr., Grayson.
