Billy Jack Slone 1931 - 2005 Billy Jack Slone, 74 of Grayson went to be with the Lord Saturday after a brief illness. Mr. Slone was born April 28, 1931, in Carter Co. a son of Eliza Marshall Slone of Grayson and the late Jesse Slone. Mr. Slone was a member of the Maranatha Bible Church in Webbville, retired Boilermaker Local 40, Elizabethtown, KY, member of the Willard Masonic Lodge 626 F. & A.M., KY Colonel, and a Korean Army veteran. In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife of 53 years Ethel McGuire Slone. His other survivors include: two sons and daughter in laws: David and Kim Slone Grayson, KY, Greg and Salli Slone Perryville, KY. Two daughters and son in laws: Jacqueline and Randy Boggs, Bernice and Jerry Adams both of Grayson, KY. Two brothers and sister in laws: Paul and Helen Slone, John and Jean Slone both of Grayson, KY. Nine Grandchildren: Ryan (Miranda) Tussey, Courtney (Barrett) Bush, Kegan Tussey, Jessica Adams, Jared Adams, Emily Slone, Sarah Slone, Camden Slone and Lauren Slone. Four Great grandchildren: Bryce and Brady Bush, Chaseton and Treven Tussey and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday 11:00 a.m. at the Malone Funeral Home by the Reverends Jesse Fyffe and Steve Owens. Burial will be in the East Carter Co. Memory Gardens, with military rites by the East Carter Jr. ROTC. Visitation will be from 6-9 Monday with Masonic rites by Willard Lodge 626 F. & A.M. at 8:00p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.timeformemory.com/malone.
