Gandy, Ruth A.     
 
ALBANY Ruth A. Gandy, 83, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, March 24, 2004. Born in Olive Hill, Ky., 
she was the daughter of the late Estel Sammons and Letha J. Sammons. 

Her husband, Louis T. Gandy, whom she lovingly referred to as Mr. Gandy, predeceased Ruth. She was a longtime resident of Willet Street, 
where she enjoyed her neighbors and the beauty of Washington Park. For many years, Ruth worked in the retail field, where she honed her sense 
of fashion and style. Two sons survive Ruth, Phillip G. Gandy (Renate) of N.C. and Richard A. Stallard (Nadine) of Ky.; 
one granddaughter, Cynthia Lynn Glass and her husband and four children, all of Virginia Beach, also survive her. R

uth graciously donated her body to the Anatomical Gift Program at Albany Medical College. There will be no funeral services.
