Ruby Irene Rogers Watson, age 85, of Denton, KY, passed away Monday, September 10th, 2007 in Kings Daughters Medical Center. She was born April 10th, 1922 at Denton , a daughter of the late H.L. and Martha Mullins Rogers. She was a former mail carrier, a homemaker, Kentucky Colonel, member of the D.A.V. and a member of the Denton Missionary Baptist Church . Preceding her in death was her husband, Frank Watson; a son, William Johnson; 3 brothers, Clifton , Homer and Hubert Rogers; 5 sisters, Mayve Cooksey, Madgel Rogers, Mary Waugh, Delphia Black and Lorraine Bellew. Her survivors include: 1 son, Robert Johnson of Denton; 2 brothers, Grover Rogers of Denton and Harmie Rogers of Grayson, KY; 2 grandchildren, Lesa Spears and Greg Johnson and 5 great-grandchildren, McKayla Johnson, Kasey Johnson, Adam Combs, Zack Combs and Carla Combs. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, September 13th, 2007 at 11:00am at the Malone Funeral Home with Keith Hill, minister. Burial will be in the Cooksey Family Cemetery .
