James Earl Reeder

MANSFIELD -- James Earl Reeder, 67, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004, at MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital. 

He left this earth to rest in the loving arms of our Lord and Saviour. 

He was born July 5, 1937 in Olive Hill, Ky., to Arthur and Bessie Bradley Reeder. 

Jim moved to Mansfield in 1953, retired from AK Steel after 32 years of service and was a member of Local 169 USWA. He worked another 8 1/2 years as a school bus driver for both Carter County, Ky. and Northmor High School, Galion. He attended Shelby First Freewill Baptist Church. 

Jim is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 46 years, Linda G. (Clark) Reeder whom he married on July 5, 1958; two daughters and son-in-law, Debbie Hershner of Mt. Vernon and Beverly (Jody) and Jerry Burchett of Galion; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tony (Kathy) Reeder of Mansfield and Steve (Nina) Reeder of Mansfield. He was blessed with nine wonderful grandchildren, Jeff, Amanda and Joey Thornton, Crystal Coffey, and Cody, Levi, Stephanie, Ashlee and Danyale Reeder; and five beautiful great-grandchildren, Jeffrey, Taylor, Nash, Cameran Thornton, and Trey Coffey; and four brothers, Billy J. of Mansfield, Charles of Harrodsburg, Ky., Jack of Galion and Lloyd and a sister, JoAnne Conley of Soldier, Ky. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Geraldine Burton; his in-laws, Virgil and Mary Webb; and nephews, Jeffrey K. Reeder and Scottie Keith Haines. 

Rest peacefully beloved. You will be loved and missed so very much by so very many. 

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m., Friday, Oct. 15, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Services will be held at the funeral home Saturday, Oct. 16, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Herman Copley and the Rev. Clifford Earl Tackett officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park. 

Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
