Thomas Q. Phillips

Born 1920

Thomas Quinton Phillips passed peacefully from this earthly realm into eternal life on April 23, 2007.

He was born May 7, 1920 and was the mortal son of the late William and Ellen Waugh Phillips.

He was married to his life-long sweetheart Eileen Wicker Phillips for 67 years. They have one daughter, Judy Phillips of Grahn, 
and four grandchildren, Lerea Wilson of Olive Hill, Panda Sexton of Grayson, Shannon Lutz of Grahn, and Damon Kiser of Grahn. 

Mr. Phillips also has four great-grandchildren, Devin Benjamin Reynolds of Grayson, Michael Seth Stanley of Grayson, 
Callie Dimitria Stanley of Grayson and Jonathan Zane Kiser of Willard.

He is survived in addition to his daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren by one brother, William “Billy” Phillips, also of Grahn 
and one nephew who was raised as his brother, Earl Fielding King of Glove. 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred and Earl Phillips, and three sisters, Lillian Phillips, Velva Wilson and Ruby King.

Mr. Phillips was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Pleasant Valley, 
where he served diligently in fulfilling his callings. Mr. Phillips served his country as an Army First-Class Private during World War II.

Pallbearers for the service were Devin Benjamin Reynolds, Seth Stanley, Michael Stanley, Mike Wilson, Darren Sexton and Damon Kiser.

Visitation for Mr. Phillips was at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, at Oney-Henderson Funeral Home. 
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 26, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Pleasant Valley, Olive Hill. 
Officiating will be Gale Beaman and Russell Patterson.

Mr. Phillips will be laid to rest in Gilbert Cemetery in Pleasant Valley.
