Betty Womack

1923-2003

Betty Jean Womack, 80, of Barboursville, W.Va., passed away Dec. 30, 2003, at St. Mary's Hospital after a brief illness.

Betty was born Oct. 6, 1923, in Olive Hill, Ky., the daughter of the late John and Grace Newman Offill.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Womack; one son, Corky Ball; five sisters, Florence Stamper, 
Dorothy Adams, Madge Reid, Olive Offill and Hazel Offill; three brothers, Gus Offill, Everett Offill and James Offill.

She previously worked for Sylvania in Huntington, W.Va., and Cormans Dress Shop in Ashland. Betty loved working in her flower gardens, 
watching and feeding wildlife, loved to fish, loved playing and listening to music, and was known by all for her fantastic cooking 
which she loved doing more than anything.

She is survived by two daughters, Becky Coffman and husband Scotty Coffman of Hurricane, W.Va. and Libby Ball of Huntington, W.Va.; 
one son, Ricky Ball and wife Darlene Ball of Cross Lanes, W.Va.; one daughter-in-law, Kathryn Ball of Hurricane; one step daughter, 
Vickie Woodrum and husband Bob Woodrum of Crooksville, Ohio; a special friend, Jane Hastings; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; 
and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends she loved very much.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Huntington and the wonderful support of staff from Pro Nursing: Teresa Adkins, 
Charlotte Baumgardner, Carol Heffner and Mary Faulkner.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at Henson Mortuary.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004, at Henson Mortuary, by the Rev. Jack Borders. Burial will follow at the 
Ridgelawn Memorial Park Chapel.
