Charles Newman

Born 1927

IRON HILL - Charles Newman, age 79, of Iron Hill, KY, passed away on Sunday, January 14th, 2007 at Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY. 

He was born September 2nd, 1927 at Iron Hill, a son of the late Charley and Ada Carper Newman.

He was a heavy equipment operator, a farmer and a member of the Iron Hill Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by, his first wife, Joyce Meade Newman, a grandson, Randy Kitchen, 2 brothers, Ross Newman and Russell Newman, 2 sisters, Bonnie Newman and Hazel Everman, 2 brothers-in-law, Hobert Harlow and Lloyd Everman.

Charles is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law: Linda Sue and Charles Kitchen and Debra Johnson all of Grayson, KY; three sons and three daughters-in-law: Bobby and Dianna Newman of Grayson, Jerry and Lou Newman of Wurtland, KY and Charles Tom and Doris Newman of Lexington, KY; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Gladys Harlow of Grayson, Ruby and Harmon Suttles of Grayson and Betty and Bob Garrabrant of Columbus, OH; two brothers and two sisters-in-law: Raymond and Charlene Newman of Grayson and Ralph and Eunice Newman of Greenup, KY; Former wife: Jean Terry Newman of Iron Hill, KY; A very special friend: Betty Stephens of Grayson; one Aunt, Hattie Margaret Hart of Grayson; Grandchildren: Sandy Hamm, Ronda Strong, Fred Kitchen, Matt Newman, Tim Newman, Tomila Newman, Lillian Newman, Tommy Newman, Dustin Wolfe, Jarrod Newman, Amy Hall, Bill Newman, Chris Johnson, Jason Johnson, Patty Marshall, Leann Johnson, Brandon Williams, Rebecca Williams and Katrina Mitchell.

Funeral services will be conducted today, Wednesday, January 17th, 2007 at 1:00pm at the Malone Funeral Home with Tim Stamper and Russell “Bud” Burnett, ministers. Burial will be in the Huffman Cemetery.
