Mark Mullins - 1922-2006

Mr. Mark Daniel Mullins, age 83, of Armory Drive, Olive Hill, Ky., passed away Tuesday morning, June 20, 2006, 
at the residence of his niece in Grayson, Ky.

Mr. Mullins was born Sept. 17, 1922, in Carter County, Ky., a son of the late Arthur C. and Hester Dehart Mullins.

He worked for 17 years for the Harbison Walker Refractories in Olive Hill and retired from the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 24 in 1984. 
He was a member of First Christian Church in Olive Hill.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Audren “Kayo” Mullins and John Mullins; and a sister, Georgia Mullins.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Billie Jean Osenton Mullins; a daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Charles Long of Olive Hill; 
two stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Herman Roe and Connie and John Downey, all of Ashland, Ky.; a sister, Retha Kiser of Olive Hill; 
a brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Essie Mullins of Olive Hill; two granddaughters, Erica Pillion of Winchester, Ky., 
and Kara Beth and J.D. Hicks of Olive Hill; two grandsons, Mark and Rhonda Miller of Lexington, Ky., and Joe and Leighann Burgess of Ashland; 
two great-granddaughters, Madison Pillion and Grace Burgess; three great-grandsons, Jordan Miller, Andrew Burgess and Michael Burgess; 
a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and a special niece and caregiver, Frances Miracle.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill with Brother Tim Waggoner officiating. 
Burial will be in Garvin Ridge Cemetery in Olive Hill.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. today and before services Friday at the funeral home.

At the family’s request, in lieu of flowers, make all donations to First Christian Church, 149 Whitt St., Olive Hill, KY 41164.

Heran Roe, John Downey, Mark Miller, Danny Lowe and Donnie Brown will be pallbearers. Chester Dehart will be an honorary pallbearer.
