Ernest “Pete” Mullins - 1928-2007

Ernest “Pete” Mullins, 78, of Grayson, Ky., passed from this life on Thursday, April 12, 2007 in Carter Nursing & Rehab in Grayson.

He was born Nov. 26, 1928, in Carter County, Ky., a son of the late Riley and Nan Messer Mullins.

He was retired from Penco as a security officer and was an avid bird and rabbit hunter. He loved raising his beagles and being outdoors. 
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth Adkins Mullins; a sister, Florence Bowling; one brother, Woodrow Mullins; 
stepdaughter, Maxine Holbrook and stepson, Joe Tolliver.

He is survived by his wife, Louise Hignite Mullins; three stepchildren, Sammy Hignite of Columbus, Ohio, Mitchell Hignite and Terry Hignite of Grayson; 
two sisters, Faye Tussey and Ida Teague, both of Grayson; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Monday, April 16, at 2 p.m. at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson by Keith Hill, minister. 
Burial will be in Mullins Cemetery on Davys Run.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
