Kentucky GenWeb projectTHE PORTSMOUTH TIMES SATURDAY, AUGUST 4, 1888 GEORGE PROCTOR, near Enterprise, Carter county, Ky., last Thursday even-ing shot and killed his brother-in-law, Allen Mockaby. Mockaby lived about 15 minutes. The parties were drinking and had some words, when Mockaby started at Proctor with a knife. Proctor warned him not to approachhim and then shot him. Mockaby had been married about one month.
