Milton Passes Away Funeral Rites Set For Friday - William Benjamin Milton, 69, well known farmer and retired blacksmith of the Benson section of the county, died at his residence on the Devil's Hollow pike early Wednesday morning following a year's illness. He suffered a stroke last June and had been confined to his home since that time. A native of Owen County, he was born April 18, 1879. He had made this county his home the majority of his life. He was a life-long member of the North Benson Baptist Church. Wife, Six Sons Survive Survived are his wife, Mrs. Susie Milton; six sons, Cecil, Emmitt, Roy and Thomas Milton, all of Franklin county; Walter and Olen Milton, of Jefferson County; one brother, Omer Milton, Franklin county; three sisters, Mrs. Eugene Tracy of Frankfort, Mrs. J. D. Wilson of Shelbyville and Mrs. Jessie Vanhorn of Carter county; 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Milton's body is at the LeCompte Funeral Home where funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 o'clock Friday afternoon with the Rev. James E. Tull officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot in the Choateville cemetery. LeCompte Funeral Home in charge. The pallbearers will be Clarence Hutcherson; Leo Hutcherson, Elmer Quire, William Samples, Preston Wade and Stanley Wade. (The State Journal, Frankfort, KY, page 6, Thursday Morning, March 17, 1949)
