George Washington Miller - 1918-2007

George Washington Miller, 88, of Charlestown, Ind., formerly of Globe, Ky., passed away Friday evening, March 23, 2007, at the residence of his daughter.

Mr. Miller was born Aug. 17, 1918, in Carter County, Ky., a son of the late Owen and Ladora Belle Bond Miller.

Mr. Miller was employed by General Refractories in Olive Hill, Ky. He was a Christian, a Kentucky colonel and a member of Olive Hill Masonic Lodge 629.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Madge Burchett Miller; four brothers, Joseph Nelson Miller, 
John Ed Miller, Marion Miller and Randall Miller; and five sisters, Artie Nolte, Mary Tackett, Gladys Arnett, Lula Bocook and Flossie Ingram.

He is survived by his loving family that includes two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Edna Miller of Ashland, Ky., 
and Ronnie and Sandy Miller of Mount Sterling, Ky.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jenneth and Frank Very of Pekin, Ind., 
and Jill and Brent Moore of Charlestown; seven grandchildren, Lisa and Marvin Schmidt of Pekin, Derek Very of Pekin, Neal 
and Angela Miller of Winchester, Ky., Erik Miller of Lexington, Ky., Rhonda and Greg Bailey of Lakewood, Wash., 
Trent and Leigh Ann Moore of Charlestown and Kayla and Daniel Williams of Sellersburg, Ind.; 
seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews who will sadly mourn his passing.

Pallbearers will include Neal Miller, Erik Miller, Trent Moore, Adam Schmidt, Daniel Williams and Lowell Gilliam.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2007, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill by Brother J.C. Bond and Brother Clyde Holbrook. 
Burial will be in Dean Cemetery in Globe.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. today and before services Tuesday at the funeral home.
