Russell Glen McDavid, age 90, of Webbville , KY , passed away Thursday, October 4th, 2007 in the VA Medical Center in Huntington, WV . He was born August 6th, 1917 at Dobbins in Elliott County, KY, a son of the late Thomas and Lucy Hall McDavid. He was a farmer and loved to garden. He was a member of the BlainesTraceEnterpriseBaptistChurch and the American Legion Willard Post. Russell spent 4 years, 7 months and 13 days in the Army Air Force. Preceding him in death was a son, William Oscar McDavid who passed away on April 4th, 1981; brothers and sisters, Gladys Thelma and James McDavid, Edith Cunningham, Thomas Jr. and Alva Ray McDavid. His survivors include: His wife of 52 years, Jean Sagraves McDavid of Webbville;1 son, Glenn and Debbie McDavid of Webbville; 1 grandson, William Jesse and Nikea McDavid of Webbville; 1 granddaughter, Jennifer and Will Grubb of Webbville; and several nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, October 8th, 2007 at 11:00am at the Malone Funeral Home with Enis Lewis Jr. and Henry Sturgill Jr., officiating. Burial will be in the McDavid Family Cemetery #2. Visitation will be held Sunday evening, October 7th, from 6:00 to 9:00pm and Monday after 9:00am until service time at the funeral home.
