Kentucky GenWeb projectJackie D. Maggard Jackie D. Maggard, 55, of Wellington, died Monday, Oct. 24, 2005, at his residence. Born in Olive Hill, Ky., he was employed as a process engineer for the Whirliway Co. in Wellington. Mr. Maggard was a veteran of the Army, serving in Vietnam. He was a member of Free Will Baptist Church of Wellington and the American Legion of Wellington, where he was a past commander. Survivors include his wife, Carol (nee Warner) Maggard; a stepson, Danny Michalski of Wellington; and sisters Brenda Haynes of Florida and Shirley McMillan of New London. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Phyllis (nee Hanshaw) Maggard. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Free-Will Baptist Church, 205 Woodland, Wellington, with the Rev. Billy Joe White officiating. A military service will be conducted by the Wellington Veterans. Norton Funeral of Wellington is handling arrangements.
