Roy Elwood Mabry

OLIVE Hill, Ky. -- Former Mansfield resident Roy Elwood Mabry, 77, of West Highway U.S. 60, died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006. 

Mr. Mabry was born May 12, 1928, in Logan, W. Va., the son of the late Reece and Mary Nola Parish Mabry. 
  
He was retired from General Motors Corporation in Mansfield, Ohio, where he had worked as a die-setter for more than 32 years. 

Roy was a Christian, and attended Garvin Ridge Wesleyan Church. 
He had served his country with the U. S. Air Force. 

Roy is survived by his wife of 17 years, Violet Lou Mabry; one stepson and two stepdaughters; and many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him. 

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, 2006, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Ky., conducted by Brother Clyde Holbrook, Brother Rex Sagraves and Brother J.C. Bond. Burial will follow at Garvin Ridge Cemetery in Olive Hill where full military rites will be performed by Olive Hill American Legion Post 138. 

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Saturday and until time of service Sunday at Globe Funeral Home in Olive Hill.
