Phyllis Littleton Thompson - 1914-2007

Phyllis Littleton Thompson, 92, of Russell, joined her Heavenly Father Friday at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital surrounded by her family and close friend.

Mrs. Thompson was born Dec. 26, 1914, in Carter County, the daughter of the late Grover and Icey Littleton. 
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Warren D. Thompson, and a daughter, Nancy Jane Thompson, as well as her two sisters, 
Jessie Sammons and Goldia Michie.

She was a member of the Advance Memorial United Methodist Church in Flatwoods where she taught the Anchor Sunday School class for many years 
and was a member of the Joyful Workers class. She was a member of the America War Mothers, Bellefonte Hospital Auxiliary Homemakers club 
and a Kentucky Colonel. She spent her life as a loving mother, grandmother and friend.

Surviving are three sons, Lawrence “Skip” (Hannah) Thompson of Flatwoods, Quinton (Evonne) Thompson of Alexandria, Va., 
and Philip (Judi) Thompson of Russell; nine grandchildren, Jeffrey Thompson, Nancy Thompson, Brian Thompson and Kerry Thompson of Alexandria, 
Allan Thompson and William “Bill” Thompson of Russell, Carol Ruth Stevens of Bellefonte, Philip David Thompson and Anthony Thompson of Russell; 
12 great-grandchildren; and two special friends and caregivers, Peggy Perkins and Becky Johnson.

A funeral service to honor the life of Phyllis Thompson will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Advance Memorial United Methodist Church in Flatwoods 
with the Rev. Donald Young officiating.

Friends and relatives may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods.

Donations may be made to the Advance Memorial United Methodist Church building fund, 1007 Bellefonte Road, Flatwoods, KY, 41139.

Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods is in charge of arrangements.
