Bobby Gene Littleton - 1931-2007

Bobby Gene Littleton, 76, of Grayson, departed this life on Monday, Oct. 1 at his home.

Bob was born March 15, 1931, in Fultz, Ky., a son of the late Commodore Perry Pete and Mary Elizabeth Littleton Littleton.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the VFW and American Legion. He was a retired employee of McGregor and Warner Printing Co. in New Carlisle, Ohio, and a Baptist.

Bob was very proud of serving as a U.S. Army veteran from 1949 through 1952. He was happy to return home to Carter County after his retirement and enjoyed his small farm. One of his favorite pasttimes was caring for his horses, especially his favorite, Tarzan.

Bob was also an avid baseball fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers. It was evident that he loved his life, his family and his many good friends and neighbors.

Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Bobbie Jo and Kris Hall of Olive Hill; his son and daughter-in-law, Robby and Cindy, also of Olive Hill; his loving companion, Sandra; four sisters, Pauline Pope of Grayson, Jenell Stanley of Fredericktown, Ohio, Janie Damron of Grayson and Beth Burkholder of Gaffney, S.C.; five grandchildren, Kyle, Kalen, Justine, Randy and Michael; and six great-grandchildren, Brody, Gavin, Caleb, Catlin, Mya and Mikey.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Ralph Littleton, Joe Littleton, Arthur Littleton and Glen Littleton; a sister, Minnie Garrison; and a granddaughter, Kori Maxine Morgan.

Graveside services will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, at Littleton Cemetery in Gregoryville. Lewis Davis will officiate.

Friends may call from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson.
