Robert G. “Bob” Lee (1929-2007)

Mr. Robert G. “Bob” Lee, 78, of Town and Country Road, Olive Hill, Ky., passed away Monday evening, Oct. 22, 2007, at his residence. 

Bob was born Oct. 18, 1929, in Carter County, Ky., and was a son of the late Karl G. and Anna James Lee. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Lee and James “Tid” Lee; a sister, Floris Gilcher; and three infant sisters. 

Mr. Lee was a retired employee of Commonwealth Insurance Co. Bob served his country with the U.S. Navy on the USS Pittsburgh during the Korean War. 
He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and a friend to all who knew him. 

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Dorothy Ison Lee; three sons and daughters-in-law, Warren “Packy” and Paula Duncan, James B. and 
Teresa Lee and David F. and Kimberly Lee, all of Olive Hill; six grandchildren, Brandon Lee, Kami Lee, Joseph Lee, Kyle Lee, Haley Duncan and Sarah Duncan;
a stepgranddaughter, Danielle Sparks; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Verlin Lee of Bowling Green, Ohio, and Gary and Pat Lee of Ashland, Ky.; 
a sister, Maxie Shelton of Olive Hill; and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him. 

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007, at First Church of the Nazarene in Olive Hill with Brother James Muncy officiating. 
Entombment will be in Olive Hill.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill and after noon Thursday at the church. 

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
