Kentucky GenWeb projectWilma Mary Schmidt MANSFIELD -- Wilma Mary Schmidt, 85, died Monday, April 25, 2005, at MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital. Born September 8, 1919, in Gatton Rock, she was the daughter of Arthur and Anna Cates Laribee. She retired from Therm-O-Disc and was a life member of VFW #9943. She is survived by her husband, Herbert Schmidt of Mansfield; three sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Emily Gladden of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Douglas and Terry Gladden, and Daniel and Barbara Gladden, all of Mansfield; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and brother, Chester Laribee of Mansfield. She was preceded in death by her parents. Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 28, 2005 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with her son, Douglas W. Gladden Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
