Nina M. Spreng

MANSFIELD -- Nina M. Spreng, 75, died Friday, May 7, 2004, at Woodlawn Nursing Home after a long illness. 

She was born December 31, 1928 in Soldier, Kentucky to the late James and Goldie (Ruley) Knipp living in Mansfield most of her life. Nina was a member of the Diamond Hill Cathedral Church. She retired from People's Hospital and continued to work as a nurse in private practice. 

She is survived by two sons, Steven Paul Spreng of West Palm Beach, Florida and Timothy M. Spreng of Mansfield; a daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Kenneth Utt of Mansfield; a brother, George Slater Knipp of Jean, Nevada; two grandchildren, Laura Nicole Vitcusky and Kenneth Nathan Utt; two great-grandchildren, Alec and Molly Vitcusky; two nieces, Daniele Morgan and Dori Zody; and one nephew, Gary Kemper. She is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Dennis Phillip Spreng; two sisters, Louise Kemper and Marianne Schulte; and her former husband and friend, George Phillip Spreng. 

Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Monday, May 10, 2004 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 11th at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with The Rev. Mel Schroeder officiating. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Diamond Hill Cathedral Church.
