Kentucky GenWeb projectHazel Myrtle Knipp - 1922-2007 Hazel Myrtle Knipp, 84, of Whetstone Road, Greenup, Ky., died Tuesday, July 31, 2007, at her residence. Mrs. Knipp was born Sept. 30, 1922, in Carter County, Ky., a daughter of the late Henry and Sarah Lithia Mosur Knipp. In addition, she was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Knipp, on Oct. 2, 1994. She was of the United Baptist faith. Surviving are two sons, Randy Alfred Knipp of Greenup and Robert Henry “Pete” Knipp and his wife, Lisa, of Catlettsburg, Ky.; five daughters, Mary Louise James and her husband, Billy, of Grayson, Ky., Sarah Helen Boyles and her husband, James, of Greenup, Sharon Kay Tackett and her husband, Danny, of Flatwoods, Ky., and Brenda Faye Hieneman and her husband, Danny, and Donna Sue Jones, all of Greenup; two brothers, Willis Knipp of Greenup and Earl Knipp of Grayson; a sister, Goldie Knipp of Grayson; 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, 2007, at Pleasant Hill United Baptist Church in Grahn, Ky., by Brothers Erie Barker, Henry Counts and J.D. Riggs. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Grahn. Visitation will be after 6 p.m. today, Aug. 1, 2007, at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup and an hour before services at the church.
