Willie Lee Keaton

MANSFIELD -- Former Olive Hill, Ky., resident Willie Lee Keaton, 74, died Thursday, Aug. 3, 2006, at MedCentral/ Mansfield Hospital after a brief illness. 

Mr. Keaton was born Sept. 1, 1931, in Carter County, Ky., a son of the late Harrison and Myrtle Holbrook Keaton. 
  
Willie was a former employee of Borg-Warner in Mansfield, retiring after several years of service. 

He served his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and sharp shooter. Willie was a member of Crawford County Coon Hunters Club and attended the Church of God in Mansfield. 
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, James Chalmer 'Bigfoot' Keaton and Burford Keaton; and three sisters, Elizabeth 'Keaton' Geary, Thelma 'Keaton' Mosier and Ina Pearl 'Keaton' Buxton. 

Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Odolene Holbrook Keaton; two daughters, Gwen 'Keaton' (Wayne) Baca, and Brenda Lee 'Keaton' Lukas (fianc? Franklin Hollowhorn), all of Mansfield; brother, David Keaton of Olive Hill; and many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him. 

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 7, 2006, at Globe Funeral Chapel, Olive Hill, conducted by Brother Jimmy Holbrook and Brother Gayle Price. Burial will follow at Bradley Cemetery, Dry Branch Road, Olive Hill. 

Friends may call after 6 p.m. Sunday, and until time of service Monday, at Globe Funeral Chapel. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
