Joseph "Bondo" Harold Ison, 71, of Madison Twp., died Saturday, October 7, 2006 at Triumph MedCentral Hospital in Mansfield following an extended illness.

"Bondo" was born July 3, 1935 in West Liberty, Kentucky to Gayle and Esta (Hunt) Ison and lived in Mansfield most of his life. 
He was a member of Dean Road Baptist Church and enjoyed going to church and participating in church activities whenever possible. 
He was the owner and operator of Ison’s Body Shop on Country Club Drive and enjoyed contributing autos to the Amvets Post 26 for their auto shows. 

Surviving are two sons, Rickie (Daffanie) Ison and Douglas (Lisa) Ison all of Mansfield; one daughter, Wanda Hall of Mansfield; 
nine grandchildren, Edward (Angie Blamer) Hall, James Hall, Justin Hall, Lorie, Karrie Marie, Ashley, Dalton, Dallas, and Becca all of Mansfield; 
nine great-grandchildren, Desirae Hall, James Hall, Kisha Hall, Daisey, Troy, Jazzy, Stevie, Johnathan, and Brandan all of Mansfield; 
three sisters, Elizabeth Buckner and Virginia Sexton both of West Liberty, Kentucky and Lena Faye Waggers of Kentucky; 
one brother, Earnest Ison of Lake Okeechobee, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Imogene Ison; his parents; his step-father, Noah Hunt; and his sister, Lillian Blackford. 

Friends may be received from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at Werner Funeral Services, 175 W. Third Street, Mansfield. 
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at Dean Road Baptist Church, 1169 Mill Road, Mansfield 
with Pastor Earl Tackett and Pastor Virgil Masters officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
