1940-2004
Linda M. Holbrook Burke, 63, of Grayson, Ky., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 24, in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital.
She was born Sept. 16, 1940, in Carter County, Ky., a daughter of the late John and Iva Stevens Holbrook.
Mrs. Burke was a housewife and was a member of Dixie Park Pentecostal Jesus Church.
Surviving are her husband, Chester Burke of Grayson; four daughters, Dorothy and Walter Vannatter of Ashland, Ky., and Brenda Gumm, Jeanie Burke and Betty and Tony Sherman, all of Grayson; one son, Harold and Sharon Burke of Grayson; three sisters, Susie McDavid, Alene Elliott and Audrey Young, all of Grayson; one brother, Glen Holbrook of Marion, Ohio; and eight grandchildren, Michael Gumm, Chris, Jason and Stephanie Vannatter, Dustin Sherman, Katelyn and Chase Stewart and Harold Dwayne Burke.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Claude Holbrook; and one sister, Clara Holbrook.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Feb. 28, at 2 p.m. at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson with Charles Seagraves officiating.
Burial will be in East Carter County Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 tonight, Feb. 27, and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
