Mrs. Carroll, 70, Dies; Funeral Rites Friday - 

Mrs. Bertha L. Hannah Carroll, 70, of 3864 Winchester Ave., was dead on arrival at King's Daughters' Hospital at 11 a.m. Tuesday. 
She had been ill two years.     

Mrs. Carroll was born Oct. 20, 1893, in Lowmansville, a daughter of the late Stanton and Belle Davis Hannah. She was a member of the Holiness Church 
of Lowmansville, the Gold Star Mothers, and the American Legion Auxiliary.     

Survivors include her husband, Clarence Carroll; two sons, John Carroll of Ashland and Elwood Carroll of Tampa, Fla.; 
three brothers, Les Hannah of Chapmansville, W. Va., E. H. Hannah of Norfolk, Va., and Lon Hannah of Mechanicsburg, O.; 
two sisters, Mrs. Grace Ross of Mt. Vernon, O., and Mrs. Nura DeBord of Baltimore; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, 
and three great-great-grandchildren.     

Friends may call at the John Steen Funeral Home after 11 a.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the 
funeral home by the Rev. Jay Duvall. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery.
