Kentucky GenWeb projectJames Haney 1927-2003 James Haney, age 76, of Grayson, Ky., died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, in Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, W.Va. He was born April 9, 1927, in Carter County, Ky., a son of the late John and Susan Haywood Haney. He was a millhandler, a construction worker, a World War II Navy veteran, and a member of Oak Grove Church of Christ. Also preceding him in death was a brother, Robert Haney. His survivors include three brothers, John Haney, Clifford Haney and Allen Haney, all of Grayson; and two sisters, Elnora Jespersen of Rockville, Md., and Bonnie Haney of Grayson. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Dec. 8, at 1 p.m. at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Dick Damron and Charles Milam, ministers. Burial will be in East Carter County Memory Gardens. Friends may call Sunday evening, Dec. 7, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. East Carter Jr. ROTC will perform military rites at the cemetery.
