Kentucky GenWeb projectOBIT - Mrs. Carroll, 75, Dies Following Long Illness - Grayson - Mrs. Bessie Stovall Carroll, 75, Grayson, died Thursday after a long ilness at the home of a son, Kenneth E. Carroll, Oldtown. She was born Feb. 2, 1895, in Carter County, a daughter of the late William and Patty Schooler Glass. She was the widow of Arch Carroll. Survivors also include another son, Richard Carroll of Grayson; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Bush, Grayson, Mrs. Patty Jones, Ironton, and Mrs. Mary Newland of Dayton, O.; a sister, Mrs. Mattie Brewer of Grayson; a brother, Dudley Glass, Hitchins; 18 grandchildren and 20 greatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Satterly-Phillips Funeral Home by the Rev. Woodrow Brumfield. Burial will be in Carroll Cemetery at Grayson.
