      Mrs. Sarah (Garris) Sparks, 65, of Crooksville Route 1 died at 11:55 p.m. Thursday in Good Samaritan Hospital after a five-year illness. 

      Mrs. Sparks was born July 27, 1898, at Olive Hill, Ky., a daughter of George and Judy Binion Garris. 

      She attended Crooksville Free Methodist Church. 

      Surviving are her husband, Melvin; six daughters, Mrs. Donald Edgell of McConnelsville Route 4, Mrs. James O’Neil of Coshocton, 
      Mrs. Doris Hannold of the home. Mrs. Kenneth Jadwin of Crooksville, Mrs. Jack Galloway of Brighton, Colo., and Mrs. Russell Ault of New Lexington; 
      three sons, Arnold and James Sparks of Crooksville and Stearl (?) of Malta Route 1; 32 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; 
      and two brothers, Russell and Lewis Garris of Florida. 

      The body was taken to Fred L. Cannon and Sons Funeral Home in Crooksville where friends may call. 

      Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home with Rev. Elton Moose officiating. 
      Burial will be in Deerfield Cemetery near McConnelsville
