Carter County Merchant Despondent

Over Ill Health—Wife, Five Children Survive

GRAYSON, June 15.

Despondent over ill health, John Flannery, 55, merchant at Olive Hill, former sheriff of Carter County, hung himself in the barn in the rear 
of his home early today. He looped a wire around his neck to a rafter and leaped from a manger. The body was found by his widow who, with five 
children survives.
